Old Colony YMCA Awarded $1.1 Million Grant from Department of Labor's YouthBuild Program

DOL

Old Colony YMCA is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $1.1 million grant from the Department of Labor's YouthBuild Program. This grant is part of the $98 million in grants distributed to 72 organizations across 30 states and Guam, aimed at providing training and employment services to young people.

“The YouthBuild grants we’re awarding today will help young people acquire the skills and training needed to access the good-paying jobs created by President Biden’s Investing in America agenda,” explained Assistant Secretary for Employment and Training José Javier Rodríguez. “These investments make sure youth and young adults can share in the opportunities the administration is creating and make a better future for themselves no matter their background.” (U.S. Department of Labor, 2024)
